There are a number of different options when it comes to security glass, but two of the most popular are toughened glass and laminate, or composite, glass. Toughened glass is a thicker sheet of standard glass that has been treated with heat or chemicals to temper it, toughening it and making it far harder to break.

Laminate glass consists of multiple sheets of glass with plastic layers between them. Both of these options offer dramatically improved strength and impact resistance, making them ideal for security applications.
